well, i was actually frusterated with our computer being slightely 'ill', but as it turns out, it was truely wonderful. the wireless totally disabled on this handy little thing and i needed to get it back. being we are on a very slow dial up connection at home....too slow to email the girls learning records without taking F.o.R.e.V.e.R, i needed to get it back. i brought it to some very nice people for fixin'.... it took 3 days, over a week, a monday holiday and one more day of me recouping from being terribly sick to get this little computer back. so, a week later, the computer sits back on our hutch and table. not as used as before. i have more time to knit (leg warmers in the works). more time to sew (cats for 'made for china'). more time to read with the girls (the oz series still the first pick). more time to read to my self (traveler's tales guides INDIA my first pick right now). i *thought* was was going to miss having the computer, but it was so nice not having here....calling my name...."sarah.....check your email.....sarah.....look at flickr and be inspired......." INSPIRED!?!?! yeah! sure...totally inspired but then not doing anything because i would sit and look at other things....be more inspired and then totally overwhelmed and not know where to start....so inspired but left feeling lousy. SO NOW, i have the lovely little computer back and i will use it with much more of an intentional balance. every other day....every few days.....only for 15 minutes or just to check email with a timer set to remind me.......use it for good....not for evil.
ramblings......
sidenote, we bought a new toy today. nikon d40. so thrilling. so lets see, life will include: wonderful husband, fun crazy amazing daughters, home schooling and (hopefully) connecting as a family, knitting, sewing, creating, friends, nature, love and now PHOTOGRAPHY!!!! let's see if i can aquire some skills.
