the beginnings....

of my newest project. a sweater. i finished a pair of legwarmers yesterday morning (they took forever for some reason....maybe because fifi took them off the needles a few times) anyway this justified a quick trip to the semi local yarn shop. i have been thinking and searching for my next project....as soon as i saw this i knew it was it. debbie bliss jr. knits patterns: Mia. i have never been able to follow a pattern. i avoid them. i try and then tweak....just can't seem to "see" what i am doing so i mess up, get frustrated, quit and do something that doesn't require a pattern. well, this one seems easy enough and i have the option of stopping back into the yarn shop for assistance when i can't figure it out on my own. i am starting big....ocean's sweater first...then elli's....finishing with phoenix's....i bet her's will seem so easy!! i have a few sweaters my mom and grandma made that my daughters wear. i love them! they love them! and i want to create something that can be passed down as well. let's hope the next mention of this sweater is sooner than later and not about a project incomplete but either finished or making good progress.
