a few quick satisfying projects in between the sweaters...some totes, a sunhat in the works, fixing of some dresses for the girls...a button here, patching a hole there....you know. a while back i bought a few books in hopes of some inspiration...a couple japanese craft/sewing books, a quick sewing book, and i enjoy looking online at books...peeking into their pages link....that is where i saw this little girl below. my girls fell in love with her too, so the embroidery began. this little tote ended up being a birthday gift for a friend. it was so quick and fun to do as i sat watching the girls practice riding their bikes out front, or relaxing in the sun while they all mixed mud potions in the back.

i did find magenta yarn for elli's sweater. she is thrilled. i have the beginnings on the needles, it is sitting in my handbag ready to come with me for any spare moment i can add a few stitches.
