a little lesson in using a sewing machine happened last night. from cutting the fabric, ironing, pinning, machine bells + whistles and finally sewing. it happened spontaneously.
they each made a little doll pillow. first thing this morning was "can we go sew some more??!!" unfortunately i had to say, "later gators" and off we went on errands preparing for ellibella's big 7th birthday celebration. she invited 20 some children + parents + single adults she loves....we're looking at about 40+ people....eek!! that introvert in me wants to go crawl under a rock. made me realize elli is very extroverted. she is always asking to have parties, be around people, ect...ocean's the opposite....her ideal birthday is camping just as a family or, as she hopes to do this year, invite 3-4 close friends and have a fairy party out in the woods. hmmm....interesting how members of one family are so so different in so so many ways. wonder what phoenix will be like and what these characteristics now will play out to be like in my little lovies lives down the road.
