holiday crafting. hasn't started. don't think it will, other than the little felting balls that we are slowly working on. they won't be done for any real decorating i don't think, but we'll use them for something and use them throughout the seasons and as the season changes. or, i guess we made a bunch of ojos de dios that we used for this years snowflakes. these are pretty hanging from the window with little lights. i am feeling like the grinch. i am not stealing christmas, i am just else where. does making lefse count for holiday spirit? we're doing that and that is a holiday tradition for our little family. we make the tynnlefse. have you ever had lefse? it's so delicious and festive and norwegian. [and the home of the largest lefse, right before the description of hardangerlefse on the wikipedia page, starbuck minnesota, {i grew up very close to this little farm town, in an even smaller farm town} my family used to tease me that i would grow up to live in starbuck and run the chemical fertilizer plant there.....they would tease me so much, sometimes i would cry about it]. we make our lefse gluten free and tastes just as fantastic [rolled up with butter and sugar, we'll pass on the lutefisk, thank you]. bah humbug.

Ah lefse... we'll be making ours on Lefse Day with my folks. Everyone brings a big pot of potatoes ready to go and we'll cook 'em up together. So far I think we'll have 4 pots worth -- lots of lefse goodness!
ReplyDeleteYou betcha! Have a piece for me. :)
ReplyDeleteLefse, yum! BTW, Starbuck misses you... p.s. It kinda makes me chuckle that your fam teased you so much that it made you cry. Sorry 'bout that. ;)
