the library. i don't know how much i can sing it's praises....it will never do justice of my love. a quick list, sans links as my girls are in desperate beckoning of the next episode of project runway [which i would like to see as well (thanks michelle for the suggestion) and... well... i've said it before, we don't have high speed internet and it would just take too long], so here's what we got:
  • the penderwicks on gardam street by birdsall
  • take a look around by varriale
  • the apple-pie princess by jane ray
  • garfield bigger than life by davis
  • make card! by solga
  • something's not quite right by billout
  • woodworking for kids by mcGuire
  • picture this by friedman
  • the art book for children by renshaw [we checked it out again. it's that good]
  • the magic half by barrows

these are just a few of the books we have out from our visit this afternoon. we are on the last few pages of the mysterious benedict society and are just aching to see how 'the emergency' is prevented! off to project runway and then hitting the sack to read late into the night with the squirrelie girls.

  2. What is miss most from the ,,big" town is a decent library. My village only has a very small library and the opening hours are from six to seven (just when you are making dinner) Monday and Wednesday evening.
