good morning spring

this morning, earlier than usual, my daughter came
tip toeing out of her room.
she was whispering, "i know i'm crazy for being up this early."
me, "i know you're excited about the day. . . happy spring dear !"
she, "it's just i heard a bird singing outside the window
and his song turned into 'wake up! wake up! wake up!
so i just had to wake up and get up."

and she smiles.
she is refreshed.
she is my spring time song, my morning dove.
