you know, after all these years of having him traveling in the spring, we've got it dialed in, the girls and i. of course we miss him & there is the occasional need for him. for example, if a rodent appears [knock on wood] or if i can't seem to get the fire up and roaring and the power is out and we're cold and the sun keeps shifting and now it's not coming through the windows for us to sit in its warmth and the grill won't start and we can't make tea or hot cocoa and we can't drive into town because trees have fallen blocking us in and lodge road is too scary in a storm because we'll surely get swept away in a mudslide and all we need is for the man to be home to keep us warm. that's all. he is the solution. he would fix everything and make it all okay with his calm strong low key way about him. so yeah, generally, we have it dialed in, but life is much sweeter, much warmer and way better with him around. we love you mister man out-numbered by girls in this house and we miss you when you are away but don't worry about us when you travel [sans rodents, we do just fine (thanks to all those sleeping bags)].
