[q+a] the week in review

[nine]: i'd way way way rather go camping. so would my family. often we like to go stay at a local hotel in the winter, during the rain and cold or right after our summer time because we are too tired to even think about where the sleeping bags might be [even though they are right under our noses in the hall closet, too much]. the hotel has a hot tub and warm pool and we love it, yet generally speaking, every time we go stay there the weather turns perfect and i think to myself we could have just been camping! [i do love that hot tub though] just kidding. camping is where it's at for my family. the fresh air, walks, slow going do what you want nothing boxing you in days. we went to disneyland in the spring of 2010 and i never posted photos....i need to....but you can see in my children [and eric and i] it's not our happiest place on earth [to say the least].

[ten]: doula. simply support. i love that. the responsibilities that rest on midwives shoulders totally daunts me.

[eleven]: i keep thinking i want to do what i love and make money doing it, but i continually am brought back to doing what i love just because i love doing it. so final answer: do what i love just because i love doing it. if i make money along the way, bonus. if not....i lose nothing. [funny side note, the same day i posted this w.y.r. a friend emailed inquiring about me knitting him a custom sweater to buy.... hmmm, i haven't answered yet].

[twelve]: kabocha squash in the form of pie. pumpkin pie style. yespleasethankyouverymuch. however, we eat rainbow chard a whole lot more often, i love it sauteed with a little garlic, olive oil and dash of balsamic vinegar. give it a go, both, very delicious.

[thirteen]: life under a microscope! no thank you. in lieu of the game: justin is my answer. sure he's young and famous right now, but i'm not thinking he will be a legend like michael. michael jackson's life from very young to his death was watched, his life took many twists and turns and he made a bazillion choices i would never want to be a part of. sure, i'd love to be able to dance like him, but over all, again, no thank you. like i said, justin is young, i'm an optimist and hope that he will be able to keep some sanity, step out of the spotlight when it gets too much and live a slightly normalish life. elli concluded she would rather be "justin, NO! elvis with the 'woop' of hair". ocean had a difficult time choosing, as usual [but she's intentionally working on decision making], and she chose "michael when he was younger". phoenix choose "michael jackson when him younger" [she likes to copy her older sisters].
