:: thinking of those in Japan with continual energy shortage those displaced. those simply alone.
:: enjoying my girls and their personal fires built outside.
:: laughing at elli who banned herself from using her knife for one whole week due to "improper use" (she accidentally cut her self, twice). only to have her ask me (a half hour later) if she could use her knife again (I, of course reminded her who banned who) so she sat and whittled and exclaimed with a smile beaming ear to ear," Oh! it feels SO good to be using my knife again!"
:: recognizing I probably should take a shower before leaving the house.
:: apologizing to all those I come into contact with for not taking a shower before I leave the house.
:: anticipating lots of laughter and applause at the high school mock rock tonight.
:: hearing Phoenix playing by herself in the back room, yelling her game as to hear herself over the generator.
:: wondering why it took me so long to remember to bring out the camping stove as it eases providing my children with food substantially vs. cooking on the wood burning stove.
:: swelling with a desire to read more about utilizing the wood burning stove with greater efficiency.
:: debating a trip to the library.
:: keeping a keen ear in the generator as to not blow the refrigerator (side note, I'm SO thankful for the old beast of a generator we have access to use during times like this...it makes a world of difference knowing we [hopefully] won't lose all the food stored inside.)
:: moving outside as the sun reveals itself and back inside when the rain starts up again. (think: in & out, in & out, in & out...)
:: relishing on the fact we've just about made it through the week with out experiencing the predicted 'big one' hitting california during said week.
:: knocking on wood.
:: meditating on good.
