mother's day message

what i love most about being a mother? the children who give me the title.
(you too? soak them in today!!!)

(here, the night before mothers day and we're waiting while the man picks up a few staples from the store after a full day at the beach celebrating a friend turning 10. the momma = tired. the label givers = totally high on s'mores)

to my mother, you're great! i love you and i'm so thankful for you and your friendship. i wish we lived closer, because like i said, you're great (and fabulous, fantastic, terrific, even super sensational!)

to my mother-in-law, thank you for nurturing and loving a boy (especially the one who became my husband) and raising him to be a great man.

to those with mothers who have passed on before them: in your own way i hope you can honor her. take the best qualities she possessed and emulate as well as you can...all the not so great qualities? recognize, forgive and create something new allowing it to make you better.

to the mothers who have lost a child or children: may you find comfort, may you be honored, may you remember, may you embrace, may you continue, may you live connected.
