i'd rather believe first & then be wrong than doubt first & be surprised. living & believing verses living & doubting sounds so much better.

  1. the surprise from doubt is not a good feeling, so i agree. i would much rather believe and let the surprises that come feel better than those that come from doubt. whether right or wrong, i choose to believe.

    great post!

  2. So funny, I agree with you in principle but find my life is lived in much the opposite way! In a good way, though...as in, I am delightfully surprised.

  3. i mean like believe the best of someone rather than the worst. believe the best and be disappointed if i'm wrong, but believe first, rather that doubt they are something full of goodness only to discover i was wrong and they are awesome....does that make sense? believe the best of someone because most likely they are awesome, it's rare when they aren't, but stereotypes or assumptions can get in the way (doubt).....am i making any sense??

  4. I feel this one! This is how i want to be in the world. Looking for the beauty in people. This also reminds me to believe in me- to believe in my own goodness and pay less attention to those little voices which would say otherwise!
