i’ve been putting new words up on our chalkboard the past few weeks. words for rumination & eventually digestion.
to head toward ones dreams confidently & to walk through life in a dream fully awake takes a truckload of courage. it is inevitable in life there will be stretches that are extremely narrow, jagged, steep, & difficult. there will be a crux. it will take determination, endurance, hope, faith, true grit and a whole lot of love to wake up, breathe, see and find oneself living in the center of the dream. that is what i want for my kids, for my husband, for me. life will have it’s challenges no matter what direction we choose. hope is that light at the end of the tunnel. i can look back on dreams i had in the years 10+ years ago...i am awake! i am living those dreams.
there has been hardship and struggle yet i am reminded by Maya Angelou,
“I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it.”
watched soul surfer last night. cried like a baby! no, cried like a momma, one with a good imagination & a whole lot of empathy.
i hope today my children live not worrying about tomorrow, but live fully right here, right now, dreaming big & pursing that with confidence. that is a life lived well.
