december 9, a photo by urban.prairie.forest. on Flickr.

my heart kept skipping a beat, bursting with gladness.

the acceptance of authenticity (removing your hat regardless of the messy hair beneath; or eating the last of the salad from the serving bowl) being exactly who you are: broken, excited, sad, off-balance, quiet, thankful, confused, anxious, happy, content, joyful...

casual conversation. sharing life.
serving together, eating together, laughing together, crying together.

loving each other's children from the 20 somethings to the 2 year olds.

listening. offering. listening.

carrying throughout the week in our minds, hearts & hands.

more than a perfect way to kick off our weekend

(and the best holiday party i've ever attended & it wasn't even a holiday party, but it was...that's what happens.)

(hi J! i'm looking at you, waving.)

  8. You know that it's a strong connection when you can remove your hat and not care about what lies beneath. :) You also forgot to mention telling friends to take the "ugly" muffin instead of the nice looking ones is being quite authentic. I'm so glad you have a great community. Truly a blessing!
