i gave an IOU last night for fingerless mitts. the cowl was finished & given with ends yet to be woven. the gratitude expressed for the gifts received was indeed the best gift i could have received. hair-ties, a hand-me-down satchel, a cowl she watched me make knowing full well it was for her, barbies, boots & buttons.

this is a long 4 day weekend for us. yesterday was full of sand, swells, surf, sunsets, goofy games, yarn, coffee and treats. today is full of relaxing and sleeping in...(what were eric and i thinking staying up until 2 am last night? we're too old for that! especially when we are mending from the sickies that have hit our home). sunday entails extended family & friends. then monday bookending the weekend with a day to revamp our launch pad for the week.

of course those mitts waiting in the wings will be made & the sweater i'm dreaming up will continue to be sketched with lots of warm drinks & chocolatey baking thrown in for good measure.

we're just going to ebb & flow with our internal tide.
