this week feels like a blur and undoubtedly it has been in many ways. there is this place between life and death, a warped dark zone of sorts, that is very blurry. during times like this i am so thankful for the camera in hand, slung over my shoulder, resting close on the window sill. it keeps it clear and helps me see when it's so easy to swirl into the dark zone. family helps with that too, but sometimes they are swirling right along next to you.
friends are the prefect just slightly removed human perspective or comfort when dancing close with the dark zone. they listen & simply nod in understanding. they write notes of empathy & care. they stop by just because. they affirm that it's okay to be feeling disagreeable & out of sorts. they say let's just go and the details will fall into place. they piggy back the little one when your mind isn't paying attention & little legs are lagging.
as i look back on the week, i see images that hold a gamut of emotions. yet in each, i see gratitude. i am thankful. truly truly thankful.
thank you family.
thank you nikon.
thank you orion, jody, nicole, kathy, ruth.
thank you eyes that see.
thank you body that moves.
thank you heart that feels.
thank you moments.
moments connecting, relying, supporting, snuggling, struggling, laughing with family. moments to roll in the grass, nibble on chocolate, pull weeds. moments to knit stitches, sip tea, take photos, lick gelato. moments to embrace, be silent, speak needs, think, sleep, see, pray, give thanks, write, ruminate, read, walk, rest. hope.
I have been loving, loving you over at habit this month. and here too. thanks for this post--a nod and a hug from this corner of the world to yours.
