quiet.
found recently sitting alone at the beach (literally. other than one fisherman and a couple walkers at least a mile away, i was alone on the beach).
found while executing the couch to 5k training program throughout the week.
found knitting late at night in bed, fixing the neck of a favorite spring sweater.
i live in the woods and it's easy for me to find quiet (usually), but sometimes it takes being very intentional. sometimes it's not about the external surroundings or noise or activity, but what's inside. i'm reminded of a children's book called 'A Quiet Place' where the reader is reminded we all hold the very best quiet place of all, within.
this 11th week of winter, find some quiet.
internal or external, whatever you need more. but, as i think about it, my guess is they go somewhat hand in hand.
