there was hip hop class and a trip to the army surplus store for their performance ware. the troop has a show coming up and we're all very excited about it.
we said farewell to eric for one last interview trip of the season (we think) and most fantastically, took ourselves camping!
the girls and i, we went to our favorite local camp site right on the cliffs above our favorite beach. it's a spot that is always always reserved. a while back a friend suggested we go camping again like we did last year. our two families, our favorite spot. miraculously it was available then but we neglected to reserve it. just last week as we were dropping our gaggle of girls off at nature studies the light bulb went on...that was going to be next week! i went home and even more miraculously, it was still available so i booked it. rain was looming in the forecast so neither of us packed until the morning of as we both were planning to bail if it was wet. our quite 'spur of the moment' camp out turned out perfect. the weather was friendly, the friends were fabulous and well, i couldn't ask for more. as we all piled into their camper van last night for games cyndi lauper's 'girls just want to have fun' kept running through my mind and that we did.
