last night we brought in the weekend blown away by the support of friends who came out and cheered on our first born during her first performance with a fairly new dance troop. it was a benefit for a high school dance club where tons of different (mostly) young people performed different dances. i enjoyed the variety of having a different style one after the other. i thought O's troop nailed it and she was (most definitely) riding high. friends* from several different aspects of life showed up to watch which speaks volumes to me of the good people we have in our life.
now that the much anticipated performance is finished we will be watching the door! going in and out with a new anticipation of four favorite friends arriving for their spring break! they won't arrive until this evening, so i believe it will be a day full of counting down.

ReplyDeletethis is such a sweet story--glad so many were able to help you celebrate. I have great memories of high school music performances--my own and my siblings'--and the wealth of support from parents and friends.
