we came home late, but not too late, from the beach and dinner with the summer staff in town. we went straight away into camp and picked up two mattresses. i slept on the back porch thinking it would be nice to finish my thirty-seventh turn around the sun sleeping with the fresh air then wake to the birds chirping. gaze at the stars; wish on the shooters.
i was warmer than normal wearing my wool longies & down puffer. more fragile than normal too and the solitude felt necessary. when i woke it was complete, fully 37. the birds and butterflies were spinning around. life everywhere. outside & within.
i need to do this more often.
absolutely such happyness.
