black bean

well this may be fleeting OR it could be lasting...another only time will tell. a black and grey striped cat found us the other morning. ocean and elli were outside playing and from the woods a cat walked toward them. they ran in the house....screaming, "the cat! the cat! is here! momma! come look!" as if they had met this cat before. nope, they hadn't. we fed it tuna. i would love to have a cat hang around my home...outside. automatic mouse catcher! we came home from town that evening to find the cat still hanging around. we were glad. elli named it bean....black bean. black bean was around the next day and then this morning after a giant storm, black bean wasn't here. prayers from the girls all day..."please Jesus...bring black bean back to our home"....songs about the family, including black bean. i received a call from eric that black bean had walked with him this morning over to another house here at camp. a different phone call from eric let me know that black bean was being taken to the spca since it cried at a different house all night wanting to be inside. a third phone called from eric told me that black bean hadn't been taken yet....go look for it and maybe if we feed it and make a little bed it will stay with us. off the girls and i went. calling as we walked. we heard black bean up at one of the camp buildings....called it's name and down it ran to us and walked home. ocean picked it up and was in heaven! elli pet it and felt a little more brave. phoenix just looked. right now i can hear bb crying in the garage where i put it for the night. will it stay with us? will it return to our home after i let it out tomorrow morning? ocean hopes it will. elli *thinks* she hopes it will. phoenix doesn't care. eric and i are fairly indifferent, but i sort of hope it will for the sake of our sweet daughters (and also the mouse problem). AGAIN only time will tell.
