creating

while the girls have been sick i have had time to create. the sweater is coming along surprisingly well....as is the pattern reading i suppose. i quickly made this duvet cover this afternoon out of some fabric from urban outfitter....it's not always the best fabric, but it is fun, different and often not too pricey (you gotta wait for the 50%-75% off sales~right bob?!). i snapped this shot right before throwing it in the washing machine. i will share another photo once in it's "home" place. we are also working on little st. patrick day gifts to share with grandparents, great-grandparents and friends. elli asked this morning, "mom, when is that holiday when everyone wears green?"....honestly i didn't even know it was so soon....i checked the calendar, we brainstormed some ideas and they chose a craft. we have the slightest wee bit of irish in us. enough, however, that it is one of my grandmothers favorite holidays! so we will celebrate....i will take any reason to do that....even if it is a 'just because' party.
side note: i posted the finished duvet cover on our flickr page. (if you are so inclined, you can find us under 'friend of seahorse ' using the flickr member search engine)
