i think spring is springing

a visit from my mom brings us into town a bit more...we went to the beach a few times, lots of walks by the sea, strolls downtown, window shopping, scenic drives, fun activities, outside eating...fun things we don't always take the time to do ourselves on a regular basis. but do you see this beach. it is only a short little drive from our home...a beautiful drive at that, through the redwoods....this needs to happen a bit more, become a regular thing. last year it was my new year resolution (or one of them anyway)....go to the beach with the girls at least once a week...rain or shine. we did it....until our busy summer began with wonderful crazy summer camp.

we have a bit of a bug passing through our family. elli wasn't able to enjoy our time with grandma to it's fullest. the bug has just crept into ocean. will fifi fantastic get it next? me? time will tell. until then and during, we will continue to enjoy this thing we call spring. anyway, isn't that what spring brings...worms, newts, butterflies, beetles, bugs?!
