learning happens all the time. when you pay attention and foster it and even when you don't. a line isn't drawn in our family between the "school year" and the "summer".... however, in the charter program we are involved in there is. nothing changes for my children, the only thing that happens differently is i start writing down the ways we spend our day. this past monday on paper was the 'first day of school'. what a way to spend the day....being at the beach.... playing, exploring, gathering, digging, moving, swimming, jumping, discovering, collecting, laughing, screaming, running, sculpting, catching, learning.
