1. a song (a very short song) was written (lyrics and music) yesterday all about autumn.
2. i think the girls are going to learn it on their harmonica's.
3. we checked out a learning harmonica book from the library today.
4. elli also checked out 'the little house cookbook: frontier foods from laura ingalls wilder's classic stories' .
5. the girls are hoping to each take responsibility for a breakfast, lunch and dinner meal each week. elli's meals should be interesting if we venture into the barnyard section.
6. the girls fed a feral cat we've named "spooks". it comes and goes in the blink of an eye. they are hopeful it is friendly and will stay be cousins with our lovely coconut ice cream. phoenix cried thinking about spooks not having a family.
7. thinking of cats. we watched 'the cat returns'. there we're tons of giggles.
8. made the all day tote from the lotta jansdotter simple sewing book this afternoon. easy, cute, quick and functional. i did a few modifications and will do more next time. the directions do not call for interfacing, but i am glad i used some. i am glad i put more pockets on the inside. i think it needs longer handles and some sort of closure.
9. if i had a faster internet connection i would post more pictures and blog more often. but i don't + it isn't going to happen any time soon, so i will continue to be thankful for any connection that i have at all up here in the boonies. lovely lovely boonies.
Been thinking of you lately. Missed seeing you on Sunday. Just finished a knitting project from the One Skien book and am so proud that I followed a pattern all the way through. : )
ReplyDeleteHope Colorado and family is restful, loving, and joyful. I look forward to seeing you and having another knitting date with you and Erica in the near future.
Love you!
