7 rocket ship expeditions around the bright blazing star our Birdie has taken. what spirit! what life! what a gift! as i was making her birthday brownies (her treat of choice each year thus far) + i sprinkled the sea salt on top, i realized i was making them as much for myself as i was for her. it was a rocky rocky pregnancy with dehydration, a crazy DVT, a car accident, and a sciatic nerve issue that threw me into a wheel chair for a spell. truly life was on the line, hers + mine. today we celebrate her and with the littlest taste of sea salt on my tongue i will give thanks that i can.

Bird, you are so loved! you brighten up every room with your smile, your nutty antics & those amazing dance moves. I'm deeply thankful for you & am SO super duper glad you were born. xo
