oh little turkish bed socks, the only notable thing knit all summer.
there is a second pair on the needles right now and they truly are perfect for wearing with clogs. they don't slip off the heel or take up too much room. this first pair i modified via this knitters notes. for the second pair i'm skipping the number modification but sticking with the smaller needle size, picking up to avoid seaming and shorter length modifications. a super quick, easy, small & utilitarian project to keep with you for those perhaps ever so brief moments of making.
thankfully without much knitting happening in my world over the past 6 weeks there has been much garden watering & clothes hanging. both activities, i've discovered, have been able to be made just as cathartic. which reminds me, i want to update my subscription to 'seeing the everyday': a magazine on the prosaic.
sweet photos.
ReplyDeletelast year, i knit almost every day.
this year, i have hardly had the needles in my hands. i miss the meditation of knitting.
