she meanders out, slowly stumbling, stopping as the dog runs to greet her sleepy morning face. she fumbles through the tea drawer looking for hot cocoa, hopeful. this morning she found it & then the light.
. . . . . . . . .
i'm continually surprised by the serendipity of the pre-planned words for this project. a day or two before beginning Solstice to Solstice my daughter and i sat and compiled words for each season, selecting only a few to repeat. we didn't think to much about the order but rather quickly jotted them down in a word document. i have found most weeks either as i prepare to share the word & upcoming word or think about what the week holds it's suited perfectly or comes perfectly to me each week. clearly i've mostly taken to photography as my creative outlet for this project, but i've thoroughly enjoyed simply thinking and looking with each word in mind.
considering the consistency of it's serendipity, i shouldn't be surprised that this weeks word is gather. my girls and i will be gathering with some girlfriends in central oregon for a week of camping, laughing, swimming, knitting, eating, adventuring, reading, lounging. it's one of our favorite times of gathering & we eagerly anticipate it all year. next week & on thursday you can be sure i'll be exercising creativity when it comes to this prompt, however, i won't be sharing it here until the following week. we'll simply be focused on the gathering & soaking it all in.
I so enjoy your photos and words.
