we did it! our 32 mile bike ride was a screaming success. only once did I feel like screaming at the automobiles, namely the big black suv, that zipped by far too inconsiderately close. okay twice...two big suv's, come on! share the road. zip zap zooooooooooom!!! we had lots of downhill... and some uphill. there was surf watching and shooting from the hip. farmlands, rolling hills and ocean views. after we arrived at our final destination (so beautiful), we carried our bikes up to the top of the dunes, she ran right down to put her feet in the water and chase some waves. it would be about an hour before our ride home picked us up so we ate snacks and drank the last of our water. we lounged. we snuggled, laughed, shared ideas, told jokes, gave each other back rubs, sat in silence, watched the birds and felt loved. success.
