[31+32:365]

this gets me well on my way to accomplishing yesterday's wish... though this sheep didn't provide this yarn, we did visit this soon to be momma today and are looking forward to and hoping we get to see [like last spring] the birth of her baby[ies] come early april. we also [well, i didn't, but the kiddo's did] gathered up a bunch of sour grass at the farm, they got it simmering and it will be used to dye some wool from these sheep once sheared. i don't want to miss that! i've been journaling since the turn of the new year. journaling as in writing in a book thoughts, feelings, ideas, to do lists, grocery lists, book lists, ect. this is not something i've ever been consistent at nor have i ever enjoyed trying, however, this go around i have been l o v i n g it. i have so many goals/ideas written down and i am able to go back and see how they've been accomplished [or not] and make changes on getting things done [not in a ho hum, why am i doing this sort of way, but in a whoo! i'm excited and i want to do this and this is what living life to it's fullest is and this is the example i want to set for my children to follow their dreams, listen to their hearts, find the tools they need to get things done]. it can be easy for me to dream up ideas and then just, well, think about them, this is helping me accomplish them. so with yarn on the mind, drop spindle in the bag, beautiful roving at hand, and library book picked up today, i'm going to have a go at spinning [among other things!]

dreaming and doing are two different things, are you dreaming about anything that you just keep dreaming about rather than doing?

  1. oh sarah, so many things!
but if i take a step back i see how far i've come, how much closer i am to living dreams. and you are so right, the thing that keeps kicking me forward is not just the thirst of doing it but the desire to thrive for my littles.
very excited to see your spinning-

  2. i sincerely hope that somewhere in that journal of yours is the dream of a collection of knits inspired by nature & then photographed (by me, obvs) in nature & made into a beautiful book that will sell like hotcakes & support our annual SD/Stubblefield family vacations to Bora Bora. Or Hawaii. Tahoe even. Yesss???!!!

Just a thought if you find yourself wanting an "organized for you" long-term journaling experience.
