e l e v e n

inside. quiet. mysterious.

who holds the key?

little light illuminates stories

pour forth as the day awakes & opens to alert ears.

smirk. twinkle. flicker.

i hold the key.

little light illuminates interdependence

reaches out as hands reach & open to hold.

mystifying. sparkling. radiant.

open.

true.

my sweet girl finishes being ten today. 8pm (ish) June 3, 2000 she was born & so we celebrate small with numbers and song, camping and cake, swimming and traditions only known to the secret order of the s-d gang. my husband shares a bit of her sweetness over here. this girl, ellibella like the beautiful radiant light that streams through the water or the fog & trees....this girl middle name skye like the miraculous creation it is, well, she shines.

pure & true.

  1. Love that girl. Happy Birthday to her. Tell her that when we all woke up this morning she was the first person who entered our minds.

  4. love your poem. for a minute I couldn't tell whose blog I was on (yours or Eric's) since you both make magic with words.
I hope your day is as sweet as the girl.
