postcard:: fifteen
there is something about nostalgia, deep down to every sense in ones being....tapping into the depth and drinking of it's goodness then sharing it with those you love. watching the joy and experience of one pass on to others for them to feel the nostalgia one day too, down to their deepest senses. the smell & taste of the best hometown bakery on the planet (country mouse style), the sights of small town living, the feel of humidity & sweat & wind & freedom on the face peddling through town on two wheels, listening to the noontime, 6:30pm & 10 o'clock siren sound keeping everyone in the know, where you should be and what you should be doing or the laughter and stories from both childhood participants in all the wild rumpus romping of HH & SS. there is just something about that feeling of nostalgia.

ReplyDeleteIt's a different cupboard but I can tell the smells and sounds are the same...regulars for morning coffee, one always had a coke,shooting dice to see who paid, donuts whether glazed or cake were readily available. Then I hear the shaking of the Saturday morning treat bag as he enters the house....
