My Aunt
I have a terrific aunt! She's amazing! My aunt is super funny. Having an aunt like her is so cool. She will make her own way of saying things. Its pretty funny! Also, she is good at dressing. My cousin's always looks good. Well, so does she! I love her! I absolutely love haveing an aunt like her! written by sam: age 9 next week
now, i must admit that the other day i helped my 6 year old niece do her writing prompt and i definitely encouraged her to write about her "favorite" auntie (she let's me know her auntie elisa is pretty fantastic however). love it! BUT this prompt was not prompted by me at all (i am a self proclaimed favorite auntie, but i am not self proclaimed terrific or funny and especially do not claim to dress good....that really makes me laugh!) she did need to change it and make it into more of a story for turning in at school, so i got to keep the original hard copy. her story went something like this.....she was a black bird flying high on an august day when a reflection of something caught her eye. it was the brown hair of something called auntie sarah. the auntie sarah was so crazy that the bird got tired from laughing so much and had to fly home to take a nap.
